I brought my 1956 Chevy Bel Air custom rims in with the clear coating damaged. The guys at NW Wheel recommended having my rims polished. The wheels came back looking fantastic. As a final touch, Austin powder coated the spokes and hubs to match the car color (black). The wheels now look so much better than they did before. Thanks again NW Wheel & Tire for doing a phenomenal job. I highly recommend NW Wheel & Tire.

This is the place to take your vehicle when you really care about your vehicle. They are busy for a reason but can fit your schedule. With better pricing than the big box tire stores and the added benefits of power coating and refinishing if you need it. I had 2 piece BBS wheels in bad shape and they made them better than new. Alignments are done perfect with understanding of the vehicles independent needs. Long story short, if you have a high end (or low they work in a budget when needed) car or truck in the Bend area this is the only place to consider for alignments, wheels, wheel refinishing or tires hands down. I don't even live in Bend and it's the only place I go for Alignment, wheels or tires and only one can recommend in Central Oregon and I have used them all.

Dave and his crew are very knowledgeable and the work that they perform is top notch! The quality, as well as the attention to detail, that is exhibited by this shop is absolutely amazing. By far the best place to take your vehicle in central oregon. The pricing is fair, and they make you feel like family rather than just another customer. The amount of time that they take to develop relationships with customers is absolutely astonishing! I love this shop and refuse to take my vehicle anywhere else for my tire, suspension, alignment, wheel repair/straightening, or powder coating needs. Huge thank you to you and your crew dave!

I'm new to trucks and lift kits, but Christian over at NW Wheel & Tire was awesome in helping me find the right setup for my new-to-me truck. I had 100 questions and I called him a few times during the process. He was not only informative and patient, he also presented me with several options to consider. I called around town to a few shops early in my research, but ultimately it was the service & expertise I received from him and the rest of the team there that made my decision easy on where to get the work done. I left knowing more and I felt confident in my purchase. Thanks Christian and the rest of the gang! I'll be a customer for life and will send friends your way. 2021 Ram 1500 Rebel - KMC 18" wheels, BFG KO3 285/75R18 tires, ReadyLift 3.5" SST lift.

My Earthcruiser has somewhat special needs when it comes to tires & wheels (35" tires w/ left & right handed lug-nuts, that are on top of that easy to damage when not torqued correctly). Cooper took excellent care of me and the truck - I will definitely recommend this place to other Earthcruiser owners. I'll also definitely be back for winter tires for the other vehicles.

Curbed Wheels

don't replace - Repair

If your wheels are scraped, scratched, have curb rash, or gouges, you don’t need to buy new ones.

Parking near curbs or drive-thrus often leaves little tire to protect your wheels. Fortunately, our repair process restores them to a “like new” condition at a fraction of the cost of replacement.

Since 2007, NW Wheel & Tire has repaired thousands of wheels from nearly every automaker. Most repairs are seamless enough that you’ll be searching for where the damage was.

Why repair instead of Replace?

  • Save hundreds or even thousands compared to buying new wheels

  • Restore factory-smooth edges and finishes

  • Trusted expertise backed by nearly two decades of experience

Just give us a call or stop by the shop to review your options.

Curbed wheel repair process

Wheel Prep

  • Remove wheels from the vehicle
  • Wash inside and out for a clean starting point
  • Mount wheel on our U.S.-made Hunter tire machine to push the bead away, ensuring a seamless edge repair

Damage Repair

  • Reshape the entire outer edge, not just sand it down
  • Smooth finish matches the original factory profile

Paint & Finish

  • Exposed metal is primed
  • Custom-mixed PPG paint ensures accurate color match (shade, metallic size, texture)
  • Entire face is clear coated for durability and consistency

Curing & Rebalancing

  • Infrared curing lamps speed up drying, letting you pick up your vehicle the same day
  • Wheel is rebalanced for a smooth, safe ride home

Bent Wheels

precision straightening to get you running smooth

Alloy wheels with low-profile tires can bend when they hit potholes or sharp edges.

Symptoms of a bent wheel

  • Steering Wheel Vibration

  • Uneven tire wear

  • Increase suspension wear

We’ve invested in specialized straightening equipment to restore bent wheels safely, at a fraction of the replacement cost. If your wheel can’t be made roadworthy, there’s no charge for the repair.

Bent wheel repair process

Inspection & Mounting

  • Tire is removed and wheel is carefully inspected
  • Wheel is mounted on a machine that replicates exact vehicle mounting, using hub adaptors and bolt holes for precise measurement

Straightening

  • Dial indicators measure high and low spots to the thousandth of an inch
  • Heat may be applied to reduce stress during correction
  • Metal naturally returns closer to its factory shape with controlled straightening

Finalizing

  • Tire is remounted and balanced with Hunter Engineering technology
  • Vehicle is returned with wheels restored to safe, smooth performance

Cracked Wheels

cracked but not defeated

Potholes and curbs can also cause cracks. With the right process, many cracked wheels can be repaired safely.

Our method, developed by an aviation welder and inspector, relies on precision TIG welding using a Miller Dynasty TIG machine. This allows fine control over aluminum wheel repair.

Key Steps

  • Image

100% Argon shielding gas with a specialized tip keeps welds clean

  • Correct filler rods are used to match factory specifications

  • Repairs are completed by technicians with years of TIG welding experience

Each crack is unique. Our technicians make the final determination on safety, but many repaired wheels have safely remained on the road for years.

Used replacement Wheels

You Broke your wheel. Don't break the bank.

When a wheel is beyond repair, replacement is the only option.

Buying new wheels through a dealership can be extremely costly. Instead, we source from a national used wheel supplier, giving you access to:

  • Factory-quality wheels at a fraction of the cost

  • The same supply channels trusted by body shops and insurance companies

BMW Curb Rash Wheel Repair

We restored a BMW X4M wheel that had suffered from some pretty nasty curb rash. Our lead repair technician applied a standard repair treatment, which involved carefully sanding down the damage, smoothing the surface, and finishing with a paint job to bring the wheels back to their factory look. The result was outstanding, with the wheels looking brand new after the repair. This is just one of the many ways we help keep our customers' vehicles looking their best.
